Sierra & Krishna’s wedding could not have been any more beautiful. There was something so beautiful and refreshing about this couple and their families. They had this deep, yet simple, love for each other that extended beyond marital love. It felt like these families had been joined years before this Saturday in June, they just blended together so perfectly.
Krishna’s family is from India, so we all got to enjoy some delicious Indian food from Jewel of India SLO, a catering company we’ve never worked with before! Farmer Maid Flowers, another new vendor to HME, did a GORGEOUS installment in the ceremony tree at La Cuesta Ranch, something we’ve never seen a florist do before! (What we’re trying to say is, this wedding gets a lot of points for originality)! And, needless to say, Lucky Devils Band completely and totally KILLED IT during the wedding reception. We’re convinced these musicians were touched by angels. Just saying.
The couple incorporated elements of a traditional Indian wedding into their ceremony, while including Western traditions like guests throwing lavender during the recessional. In their speeches, Sierra’s father shared stories of their family’s backpacking trips, while Krishna’s mother told adorable stories about Krishna as a young boy, and how much he’s grown. We absolutely loved coordinating this wedding from start to finish. This couple share a blissful romance, one that will last for decades to come. Through every step of the process, from early planning through the wedding day, she went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went just as we wanted. Tracey kept a tightly organized ship to ensure the wedding went off without a hitch (or just one very good one… which was us…getting hitched), letting us just enjoy our wedding day without needing to worry about anything. There are a lot of things that could have gone wrong that she just took care of, and a number of others she made sure were were prepared for and avoided. Details like planning for vendor meals, napkin folding, etc. can feel overwhelming and nerve-wracking. Tracey made it feel seamless, though. She kept us on track from a checklist that she brought to our first meeting (thank goodness), and made sure we knew everything we needed to take care of as key booking deadlines approached, which helped us navigate all of the small but necessary details. If you’re getting married at La Cuesta Ranch, we would doubly recommend her. Tracey knows the venue like the back of her hand and has a great relationship with Gabriel the owner.
